Hello gardeners! The board has received numerous complaints related to garden rule infractions. Please take a moment to reread the rules we all agreed to abide by when registering our plots this spring. Orient Park Rules Anderson Road Rules In particular please abide by the following: 1) Slow down! To avoid accidents and damage to the roadway, members and all other individuals travelling on the entrance and through the designated roadways around the plot areas shall not exceed the posted speed limit (20 km per hour). 2) Water use Water must be used carefully and only on garden plots. Clean up reminder

Just a reminder to all gardeners that our gardens are a public space for gardening and not a dumping ground for garbage and waste.  During the Blackburn Hamlet Annual Spring Clean Up, volunteers removed 6 bags of trash from the gardens, and a couple of weeks later, collected three more bags of trash. In both cases, it was reported that a lot of the waste was gardening-related plastic.  Please clean up after yourselves and bring your garbage back home with you for disposal. Former GAGA president honored with garden signage

New signage adorns both the Anderson and Orient Park gardens honoring former president George Bushell who led the Gloucester Allotment Garden Association for 36 years from its inception in 1981 till 2017 when he moved to Kitchener to be closer to his family. The executive approved this honour in his name and both the Anderson and Orient Park gardens can be referred to as the George Bushell gardens.
